New threat to 2nd A?

Overused sayings of 2025. And spilling into 2026:

Waste, fraud, and abuse
Whataboutism

Get off twitter and give it a break.
The top three were an eye roll for me until I personally became the target of it last year. I’m no pushover - I plumbed the depths of the hands of power, and brought to light what I could. What I found was the administrations targeting WF&A embody those things to the same degree or more. No surprise - nevertheless, it’s still a wake-up call to lay eyes on the hand in the cookie jar.

I had numerous people approach me while armed as a LEO and guess what not one of them died. Many of them with ill intentions or mentally unstable as well. I side with the NRA's statement. But we will not see an unbiased investigation into this shooting IMO if the FBI handles the investigation. Or any federal agency for that matter I think. On the flip side I'm not so sure a state or local investigation would be unbiased as well.
In my opinion this is a bad shoot all the way around for numerous reasons. But you know what opinions are. 30 years into a career at this point. It's not the first time I've seen an officer over react in a situation.

Curious as a LEO - do you think the shooting is totally justified, questionably justified, or clearly unjustified?

I had to scour the Internet for it. But I found it. BBC has the original video but I didn't find it there quickly looking. I still feel the same way I did below.
If he was such a menace, why didn't they arrest him then? I've heard ICE is keeping records of people they have had past encounters with. Makes you wonder if this killing may have been premeditated...

Don't know. Id imagine typically local law enforcement is around to help with resources such as staff and jail space.

Did you notice that local law enforcement is helping now?

The obvious need is for what has routinely happened in MN...a joint investigation. FBI and BCA are the usual partners.

BCA here is a state agency with a solid reputation. Cases where they recommended no charges in LEO shootings. We've seen some overzealous prosecutors charge anyway and lose due to reasons BCA used in recommending no charges.

City police wouldn't have been involved, they (BCA) would have.

Federal Leo's refused access to BCA crime scene investigators at both the Good and Pretti shooting scenes. They had to get a court order to allow access to the Pretti scene but evidence was contaminated or gone by then.

It is beyond obvious that absent, so many angles, provided by civilian videos, the coverups would be complete by now.

The Trump regime would be decrying any counter narrative as fake news. The faithful would believe their leader, and dismiss dissenters as woke traitors.
