I went out to pick my son up from camp a couple of weeks ago and then we spent a week or so vacationing and doing some scouting also. Here are a few of the 600+ pics I took.

The beginning and end of the trip were both a little troubling. This is one of the first things I saw.

And then when I get within 50 miles of getting home this is the results. That's $1500 damage from a blown tire, not including the tire.

In between, we had a real good time.

Entrance to pick him up from camp.

A couple of critters spotted at the Whittington Center.

That's 4 Corners, Shiprock, El Morrow (inscription rock) and El Malpais (lava flow) in order.

After that we spent a little time doing some scouting. Here is a camp pic.

We finished up with Billy the Kid.

It doesn't look like much to some, but I think that country is neat.

That looks like a nice 'lope.

...I believe Oak is alluding to the New Mexico mystique....hard to explain, but real. Nice trip Jabber, thanks for the share.

New Mexico really is an enchanting place. Glad I am coming down for three hunts this year.

Shoot that pronghorn. He is a keeper. I might even let Bugler have "first arrow" at one like that.

NM is kinda neat---found a cuppla Casinos, cuppla wimmin, some Mtns, a few trees, a cuppla Speed Gotes I wish I had a tag for and three 6-pt bulls....I would go back...maybe drive and drop by Wigginton Center where I iz a member.
