Seriously though, you should make the newby get into shape as I'm sure he has no clue what he's about to embark on. Bowhunting elk at close range can unnerve even an experienced hunter. I would pay to be there to see the rookie's reaction whne he here's his first bugle at about 50 yards out ........take some fresh undies for him in your backpack, buddy

Only tag I want is my sheep tag the elk deer and antelope I will pass to my daughter or let my son take the shot.

Probally let the boy shoot the elk since they are all over and arent affraid of people here(easiest to shoot), daughter wants an antelope so if I do get lucky that will be a good hunt cause I want her to get one bigger than the 2 I got on the wall. it will be tough but I know of 3 of them that are bigger just have to start scouting before oct1
