Hello sir , i love turkey hunting also ,have been chasing those sultans of the woods sese 1978, never gets old. i skin my toms anymore ,used to pull feathers when i first started ,lot easyier to skin, ,if i do the whole turkey in the oven after he is cleaned and ready, i usually put oinion ,or apples , in the cavity tie the legs use a good rub ,slow and low in the oven 250 degrees ,in at 8 at night out at 8 am fall off the bone good, if i do just breasts ,clean put in a crock pot ,babby potato's ,little chicken broth , seal the top. low and slow 4 to 5 hours, check it out go another 1hour just to finish it off, legs and wings, in a pot of hot water boil to done , peel the meat , season with fovorite rub let sit for a bit, into the pot with veggies , and small oinions ,peas and carrot's,sesaon to taste , home made chips or flour tortillas, good soup .
