Hi all! I just relocated over from Spokane to the Bozeman area and am 28. I've done a fair amount of bird hunting throughout my life, but am excited to focus more on big game for awhile here! My entire big game experience goes back to shooting a small buck with a smoothbore shotgun + bead sight and a slug when I was 15...so not much (though I have a lot of backcountry experience from other activities). Since I won't have my 180 days for residency yet, I'll be mainly focusing on bear hunting (with a rifle) and filling a couple b-tags with a bow and have been having fun scouting. I will, however, have residency for the heritage muzzleloader season and look forward to being prepared and hitting that week hard with my TC hawken! I'm looking forward to seeing what I can learn on this forum, especially as I've been finding the number of options for bear hunting within a few hours of Bozeman to be overwhelming to say the least. Look forward to being here, maybe meeting some partners and am happy to share with others my non-hunting related areas of expertise (mainly in backcountry skiing and definitely as a resource for anything you might want to do in Chile or Argentina as I spent the past couple years there)!
