Whitetail and Turkeys are pretty much it for me. Would like to get in on the bear action at some point

I have a bear on my short list. I have an old Sheridan Blue Streak pump pellet rifle from the 80s, I would like to try hunting turkey with it, we're allowed to hunt turkey with pellet guns in California. I bought some small scope mounts for the Blue Streak. I have a lot of turkeys at my property, but my property is in city limits so I can't hunt. Last night I was up at the lake and I heard what I thought was dogs barking, but the neighbor told me those were turkeys, she said they get pretty mean...There's a lot of turkeys this year...and a lot of bucks also...
