If you know someone that welds then its easy. 2.5 inch angle iron for the legs and frame and 1.5 inch angles for braces and steps and it is done. I made a stand like that for a pop up blind. Its amazing what 6 feet will do for you. If you make it out of steel with feet on the bottom then the whole thing can be relocated. Just make sure you have stakes and maybe some guy lines to keep it from blowing over.
Good looking box. There are some steel brackets called "elevators" that look pretty good as they come off at an angle to help stabilize the blind. I build two box blinds two years ago one 4x4 and one 4x6, thinking the same thing with the grand kids for the 4x6. I didn't use the "elevators" but gave them a serious look, I think Gander Mountain carries them, might get them a look.
Lots of places carry the elevators now, which make building the base much easier. A set of those and an anchor kit should run you about $150 not including the lumber. Getting it in the air would be the toughest part.
Great looking blind! I have an ideal spot for one like that. Just need to decide if I want to build one or buy one...
Found a local farmer with a large front loader tractor with forks that said he would come down and lift it for us. Just got to get our platform built.
Also the blind I ended up with has a shingle roof rather than steel like pictured.
