You can’t get here from there
I have been hunting the last 8 years or so out of a pair of Kenetrek Mountain Extreme and they have been a great boot. I had the factory replace the sole once during that time, but the uppers are starting to fail, I got my $$ out of this pair of boots for sure. It is time for a new boot before Sept elk season. I am partial for the years of service the Kenetreks have given me, but am also considering the following boots:
Zamberlan Wasatch GTX
Zamberlan Sawtooth
Crispi Guide
Crispi Hunter
Kenetrek Mountain Guide
Schnee Beartooth
Schnee Granite

I wanted to make this into a poll, but can't seem to figure out how to do that. Anyway, let me know your thoughts and experiences with any of the above.

I've enjoyed my Kenetrek Mountain Extreme the last 4 years. If it's worked for you I would stick with it.

The exception is if you are wanting a lighter or less stiff boot.

They may not last as long, but for absolute comfort and affordability I love Solomon Quest, consider adding those to your list.

I will never change my boot setup, kenetrek mountain extremes, sock liner and Reilance expedition sock! This has never given me a reason to change. I’m on my second pair of mountain extremes. I also run superfeet insoles

Second the Schnees Beartooth, but needed a shorter lightweight boot for an upcoming summer backpacking trip. Bought the Zamberlan 996 Vioz GTX, excellent boot.

If you're interested in Kenetreks, I can tell you about a big 4th of July sale. Well, really I'm not supposed to tell you until July 3rd.

But, since I already spilled the beans, here's what you need to know. Their big sale will start on July 3rd and run through July 9th.

This link will help you (and help us), if you decide to keep using Kenetrek. The huge discounts won't appear until July 3 - http://kenetrek.io/randy4

I’ve had the kenetrek, Schnee’s, and Crispi. They were all good. I prefer the Crispi guide and Nevada for most hunting, they have a more flexible midsole, which I prefer.

Schnee beartooth here. Love them. Fit true to Brannock device.

Currently on sale at EuroOptic.com. Better sale than the main store.

I don't know that I'll ever try another boot brand other then Crispi's. But if I do it would probably be Zamberlan's.
