A short while ago, the wolf.org clowns decided to use Lamar Outdoor Advertising company to post of a bunch of garbage billboards to send a very misleading message to the public. Well, I just finished installing two new and much more improved messages for the travelling public to read. I've tried hard to find as many locations as possible to counter the wolf.org boards and so far have only come up with two. A big thanks to FIVER on this site who owns Leader Outdoor and was able to come up with this location for RMEF and also to ART Outdoor for doing the same. I got a few honks while I was installing these so glad people are noticing them right away......

See, for all you suckers that don't think I work, I was working yesterday;):)LOL

saw one of those on the way back from Yellowstone last Saturday, they look great.

I feel a little better about the billboards knowing that you put them up Matt...but I think the billboard is a little too close to the same play that wolflovers.org played.

JR, the difference here is that they are encouraging people to "get the facts" before making a judgement call on what to believe. Hence their comment on the board. If you only heard one side of a false story time and time again without at least hearing the other side, one would have a tendency to believe that story. These billboards are encouraging people to go to the website listed and read up on the issue at hand and not just believe that all the yellowstone wolves are getting killed because someone says so.....

Hopefully these will at least encourage people to do some homework before making an opinion......

I agree, I hope people do get the facts. I just want the RMEF to not get caught up in the rhetoric which it seems like is happening more and more. Call it me wanting the RMEF to lead the dialogue, though I know that is a tough ask.

I think said facts could have been better presented as well (too much wolf, not enough habitat, other predators, climate change, etc), but I do think it is a good start.

I am very glad to see this up. I have been researching this subject for months now. The Elk Brucellosis Working Group meets on July 11th, at the Region 3 FWP office. Hunters should educate themselves as to what is going on in the DSA. Some of us are being locked out of the public open meeting process of these local working groups, because we actually look into the science and check the facts that are occurring on the elk brucellosis working group local level in the DSA.

Elk are a public trust resource and with declining numbers in the northern elk herd, according to this Gazette article - Northern Park Elk Population Still Declining, why are dispersal hunts taking place in Paradise Valley, as late as April 4th this year (8 antlerless elk taken just at Mill Creek that I know of)?

I hate billboards. period!

Well, to each their own. My family lives day to day because of them so gonna have to say that I don't...........

Living in Gallatin Gateway, can see some frustration, an unregulated portion of the county allowed too many. Believe me, the city, county, state, and feds have made it extremely difficult to build new ones..........enough to say that if you wanted to start a company like mine today, would be nearly impossible to survive...
