Nevada Deer 171-173

Hey All. I somehow drew a muzzie tag for deer in 171-173. I won't have a ton of time to hunt (maybe 4 days) because it overlaps with a NM elk hunt and my LE UT antelope hunt. But, I'm not going to not hunt a deer tag in NV! I've not hunted NV before. I know a lot of guys spend time on the east side of the Shoshone in 172 and the West side of the Toiyabe in 173, along with the Arc Dome wilderness. I'm pretty good with a muzzleloader (2 deer at 112 and 37 yds) and have a new gun this year (CVA Optima V2) that I feel confident with. I'm interested to know if anyone has hunted this tag in years previous and would be willing to exchange some info via messages with me.

Hunted it from the age I could hunt, till after collage. 17 is the unit but people say they give way to many tags and that's because they stay on roads or hunt Arc Dome. The dome has a decent deer population but also most of the non-road hunters. Growing up people would tell us they hunted for and entire week and saw only does, but we hunted a few days and saw mainly bucks (us young hunters missing a lot haha). Get off the roads, and the trails

I realize that and I am not naive to that reality. I also fully understand that the cards are stacked against me. I wish I had a lot more time. I've never had a year where I was lucky enough to draw the number and types of tags that I have drawn, especially tags that overlap like this. But, that certainly doesn't mean that I'm just going to turn down the opportunity to hunt a tag like this.

Yep. Doesn't bother me. That was really the whole reason for the post. I have areas that I already have identified that I just want to bounce off of people that have knowledge of the area to try and ensure I'm on the right track considering the limited time I have.
