NC whitetail yesterday evening

Got this buck yesterday about 4pm. Decent 8 pt rack but probably my biggest bodied NC deer. Didn’t have a scale but he felt plenty big enough getting him out of a creek bottom to where I could drive my atv.

I had my rifle. Gun season started 3 weeks ago around here.

Congrats on a fine buck. I used to hunt some in Halifax co. around scotland neck back in the 80s.Used to be plenty of deer in that river bottom country and all them peanut fields. I'm sure its still loaded.
