NeMont asked recently why all we see is photos of the Jonah Field whenever gas development topics come up. Good question! I'm not sure why. Extreme development is going on in many areas. I browsed around GoogleEarth today and found some interesting places.

Near Gillette Wyoming (Powder River Basin):

The Roan Plateau. It's just starting here.:

The San Juan Basin in northern New Mexico. Navajo Reservoir is visible in these pics:

Obviously not near as bad as your shots Oak, but this is an area just a couple miles from where NeMont was recreating last weekend.

Wow, look at all that easy access. Crazy to see. Google earth is awesome, been using it as a scouting tool the last few weeks. I can actually see the bush my cousins buck was bedded under this fall.

I am assuming a couple miles north? That country along Whitewater Creek is starting to look like a pin cushion. They are starting to pump water out of a lot of those wells to increase the gas production. Also the Frac crews are reworking quite a few. SanJel trucks really screwed up a lot of the roads this fall.

Nemont

P.S. I think I will be recreating in the same area again tomorrow. Church or Ice Fishing? Tough question.
