Not trying to start anything except an honest discussion about the pros and cons of each. There is plenty of controversy about the NRA, but is the NAGR better? I don't know so I'm asking as I'm pretty sure there some well informed people here on both orgs.

I signed up for a membership to second amendment foundation this year. I did an action alert on FPC last year within a week I was getting 2 emails per day asking for money. Honestly I don't think I'd ever been bombarded with emails like that before from an org.

They seem to be a sky is falling all the time type org. There's too much of that in the country in my humble opinion so I elected to avoid FPC. Just my experience.

Agreed with that about FPC! Definitely an sky-is-falling organization with lots of emails. This week, it was nice to get updates on the new bills. Not sure how long I’ll be able to stay subscribed to them though.

In my NRA email filter I’ve got several hundred asking for donations RIGHT NOW. I’m not sure they can ever regain the stature they once held.

I joined GOA 2 years ago and have been happy to date, but will most likely get tested under the new administration.

I had to join the NRA to get membership at the several private shooting ranges in Albuquerque metro-area. Joined on 3/24/2021, received an immediate email and cc charge then nothing. No mailing yet, member #, nada. Now I know they’re going through a helluva time explaining away severe violations of State law and have declared bankruptcy. But still, what gives? Anyone else have a similar problem?

I wrote customer service and got a response quick! They provided member ID # and directed me to a place where I can print off a card. Said 8-12 weeks for all the stuff in the mail.

I am a NRA Benefactor and I to am deeply concerned about what is going on with the NRA And the sleazy Attorney General of New York State. The Attorney General made a campaign promise to destroy the NRA and President Biden doubled down on it. The NRA may or may not need new leadership, I am just not sure about that but I do trust the board of directors. The Socialist and Marxists that are running our government now need to disarm the American people in order for their takeover to be completed and they are using the legal system to try and oppress and subdue the people. I would ask everyone to not believe anything that you hear or see in the main stream media about the NRA, its leadership or its issues with the law. I have put all my eggs in one basket, the NRA, I believe that they are still strong and will remain so far in to the future. I am not sure it matters which organizations you join as long as they are staunch supporters of the second amendment. My advice is decide which organization fits you the best and support them

Woah, please don’t hijack this thread to go off on a tirade. All that “Marxist” “main stream media” victimhood crap. Get out of here! And tell your wife she can vote now and drive the car too if she so desires.

The only tirade here is yours, you are disrespectful, rude and apparently off your meds.

Following along, as I too, for the time being, have discontinued my annual membership to the NRA.

^^^ Please cut this out, this type of dialogue isn’t constructive.

Getting things back on topic - I’ve never heard of the aforementioned PAC. Here’s whats on Wikipedia:

“NAGR is a rival of the National Rifle Association and considers itself the "conservative alternative" to the NRA”

I read what Wikipedia had to say and It is very disheartening to see two organizations that are supposed to support the second amendment at loggerheads and working against each other. If this continues we are in even worse trouble than I thought!

So what is the though on National Association for Gun Rights? I have donated to them in the past but not sure this is where I should be putting my $. Are they doing what they claim or a not? https://nationalgunrights.org/
The website takes an “us verse them” mentality to a new level. The group offers members the recruitment to become a 2A minuteman. This sort of stuff gets such groups on the Southern Poverty Law Center lists.

Yes they do a us vs them certainly and I do think in this day of age its warranted. As more and more of our youth grow up in cities with no exposure to hunting game with guns. The only thing they see or know about them is they are used in school shootings murders and such. That's the up and coming adults we have to convince there is way more to guns then what they see on the 5:00 news
