I got lost in developing a load for my #1 6.5 that @p_ham ham built for me. @Addicting jumped in and took me back to basics and gave me a step by step bringing it up to max speed without pressure signs. At his suggestion I backed it down a bit and started messing with seating depth. Here's the end result from a magnificent rifle p_ham built for me and Addicting developed a load for me over email. It's really frustrating when you get lost in a load and can't figure out what you're doing wrong. This is 3 shots for group at 100 yds. the top shot is through the staple holding the target. It's a .590 group of 3. I hope to see what it does at 200 in the next day or so.PXL_20260406_170118390.jpg

230 yds in a f'ng gusty cross wind. Two on the left, repeat with no change got two on the right. I gave it 2" in elevation, never touched the windage just sat ready waiting for wind to die a little . Point of aim never changed. I'm anxious to try it with dead air and a more stable shooting rest. For all I know the wind and the wobble could be making it look better than it actually is.PXL_20260408_210311067.jpg
