Mystery Ranch $$$

I have $500 to spend at Mystery Ranch. I am looking at the Metcalf NICE.... I do a lot of day hunting, walking anywhere from 4-20 miles. Do a lot of 1-2 night stays as well. 2 nights is probably the max.... I pack out a lot of elk and deer during the seaon... Any experience with the Metcalf or any other MR packs?

The Metcalf will easily handle 7 day trips. The only difference between a 2 day trip and a 7 day is the amount of food. I fit all of my gear and 9 days of food into my Metcalf without having crap lashed on every where like the Beverly Hillbillies.

A Longbow will work for 2 day trips (I've used mine for 5 days), but I think the Metcalf is much more versatile.

I have the nice with the 6500 and load sling. Packs camp in and meat out. Heavy packs but really beefy.

Thanks JLS... so is the new frame for the Metcalf out? Or is it coming out in 2015? Thanks!
