After a couple of weeks of bad surprises, hopefully, I am now ready to go. My new acquistion. Savage 110 in 30-06 topped with the Vortex Viper HS 4x16. I can't wait to get it to the range.

We will see on Tuesday.....taking some "personal time" to visit the range when most folks are at work. I read the manual at work today (geek confession) and am really excited. With the BDC no more guessing on holdover.

That rifle will serve you well. When using the BDC, make sure to shoot each line at 100 yards (if you cannot shoot at actual ranges). The POI can be measured from the target hold and applied to a good ballistics program to figure your actual ranges for the BDC. You have to know your velocity fairly closely to be exact, though.
