Was going to do a euro with my 1st elk , the taxi said 295$ , I replied antler mount is good , couldn't afford that

2015 man cave addition finished, hoping to add a bigger blacktail in a few months

FYI, it's super easy to do a euro mount yourself if you have a propane cooker, a pot big enough for the head, and a pressure washer. I did 3 antelope last year in about 2 hours while we were cutting and packaging the meat. Something to consider.

Blacktail in the NW Oregon seem to be very dark , that was my first one , here is a beast of a buck a friend got 2 seasons ago. Note the 3rd antler

eventually i would like to get down on the oregon cali border and do a southern oregon blacktail hunt, since all blacktail units are OTC, they seems to produce a bigger rack than up in the nw corner where i live. from the research ive done people think the southern oregon blacktails are a hybrid cross between mules and blacktails which is why there racks get so big. few more seasons and i will get a trip in down there, good luck on your hunt ,let me know how it goes
