Muzzle velocity consistancy

A lot of people use 10 ft as a sort of standardized distance.
I kept having errors at that distance from my muzzle blast.
I set mine at 15 ft now, then true my velocity by shooting further (600-800 yards) using the Strelok Pro app.

Howdy. Like has been said above, pay attention to the group spread(diameter). If you toss out the first shot on both guns, the FPS spread isn't bad.
Question: Do you let the barrel totally cool down to the ambient temperature between shots? I do. When I'm hunting my first shot is always on/with a cold barrel. So I try to replicate that at the range. I shoot once and wait 15 to 20 minutes before I shoot that gun again. It is not uncommon for me to shoot 3 times in an hour! This process lets me really focus on sub MOA accuracy in a given load and I can best then decide what load to hunt with. I will shoot another gun(s) in the interim to be more efficient with my time.
