Its not hunting, but I thought I would share it with you anyways.

My wife and family tricked me over the last few months. They had told me they pickled this musky. Luckily for me they had brought it to the taxidermist and surprised me on christmas morning. This was my first musky ever and I am so pumped to be putting it on the wall.

Nice fish! What did you catch it on...bonus points for a fly.

Double Bonus points if you share any pickling recipe you have as I want to pickle some pike this winter

It was a Rapala countdown CD-7. a pretty tiny lure for a musky. I was trying to catch northern's/walleyes and I casted toward a submerged log, as it turned out that submerged log was the musky.

I will have to ask my in-laws what there secret pickling recipes are for you. I haven't done any yet myself.
