So I went and pulled my cams in a few areas today. My batteries died about a month ago but some decent pics showed up.

A day before the archery season.

Lope in the pines, hadn't seen one on this area all Summer.

A few days later this little fella shows up.

The 1st mule deer I got on this cam all year and the little lope buck.

Cool pics. That bull will look pretty great in another year or 2. I always enjoy seeing lopes in the pines--just looks funny to me.

Did your mule deer hunt start yet? Hope I didn't miss the details being away from the board. Hope you nail a good one.

Myself, I'm heading out in 2 days for a "If it's brown, it's down" Limited Opp elk hunt on Hopi land (East/West Sunset) near Winslow. No great expectations from me on this one.

I see them in the pines quite a bit in several different units.

No mule deer hunt for me this year. Stay tuned in December, my Nephew has a good muley tag.

Good luck on the LO tag, they are tough ones.
