MT ducks or elk

Heading up to Bozeman Wednesday to take the 14yr old nephew deer hunting. Have a pretty good hook up on deer so if all goes well what should we chase next? Ducks near Bozeman or elk in the crazies or castles? Asking for general opinions not honey holes.

Elk!! Never pass on a chance to kill an elk!! Good luck on the deer hunt! Elk or ducks im sure you will have a blast!

Duck numbers on public access near Bozeman aren't that great yet. If you have some private access could be different. So I'd say go for elk.

If you're wanting to go for ducks, I've been hearing that it's awesome right now in the upper Clark Fork.

Ought to be able to do both, slam some quackers early, put the shotguns and waders away and get your hiking boots on!

Elk! Duck hunting around Bozeman isn't all that great. Doable, but not great.
