I see that things have changed.
If you draw a tag for a unit, you will have archery dates (sept 1) and a general/rifle dates .

If you want the 900 tag, which lets you archery hunt in a huge area starting Aug 15 you have to put it as your 1st and only choice.

If you drew a regular tag, it started on Sept 2 last year. The 900 series tag always started earlier. Not really a change there.

I didn’t realize the regular tags started in early sept last year too.

Will they sell 900 tags as surplus first come first serve? I would guess not, or they’d let you draw second choice?


I like having that tag even though I rarely use it, but that’s no way to manage harvests.
