Took a couple of hours off this afternoon to get in a quick duck hunt.

Standing in flooded Russian Olive shrubs and a couple of inches of water with ducks pouring in.

Terrible pic but it was fast and furious and we had our ducks before we really even set up completely.

Here is a video I took with my phone of ducks wanting in while were picking up.

I'm jealous! We haven't seen any real duck movement in the Lewistown area for weeks. The last 3 hunts, not a shot was fired! We need some more weather up north.

Who would have ever thought of duck hunting flooded timber in Montana?THAT is REALLY cool!! Lost my one good duck slough two years ago,so your pics make me envious. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah that is some fine duck huntin weather right there too.I love shootin mallard and black ducks
in timber here in NC and VA. nice video, they wanted to be there.

Those are the days you dream about...and why you go.

That would have been some serious fun.

Great hunt and good video.....but it ain't what we call flooded timber hunting down here! We are standing in a swamp or backwater surrounded by high trees with no flowing water and we shoot them trying to come down or go out trying to get thru tree limbs.
