Montana/Colorado units

I managed to miss the Wyoming application deadline, (don't ask!) so now I am scrambling for alternates. I will be putting in for Colorado and Montana. Any suggestions on decent unit in either state? I am not looking for trophy class goats, just a chance a legal buck.
Anyone have experience with Wyoming leftover liscenses?

Plenty f good left overs in Wy.You need to look at their website and make sure they have walk in areas or hunter management areas available for your hunt in left over areas.Most leftovers are due to limited public ground
I hunted twice on a leftover tag and filled both with bucks;one nice and one average
