Antelope hunting is always a challenge, but to get into range of a Sharps with iron sights takes a little more sneaking. I haven't seen the antelope this year I have seen in years past, so finding a decent buck was fortunate. Then to use the terrain to get within 200 yards was the next hardest thing. I did manage to get to 209 yards and slide the rifle over the ridge and get a good shot.
Iron sights with a post front will cover half an antelope at that range, so you have to have confidence in your rifle and shooting ability. It worked out fine, one shot and he dropped right there...
