I've thought about using a bike for several years now, 455 was the unit that got me thinking about it. Maybe one year I'll break down and spend the money, just haven't done it yet. Shotgun - agreed, Cottonwood isn't too bad if you don't mind the hike. Good luck on your permit.

You can always ride a bike into 455. I know a guy who hauled an elk out last year towing a trailer behind his bike up there.

That's a great idea until it rains and/or snows. You'll have so much mud on your rims your bike wheels won't even turn.
