monsoons

3 weeks of 95 plus. Not normal.
Spot showers on the high plains. Greening up some.
Old guys hanging inside where it's cool.
We'll get some eventually. The high terrain gets the moisture.
Hopefully this high will move out of NM, for more than a day.

Tons of elk.
Deer showing in the neighborhood.
Antelope have moved out to the plains.

.33 inches.
Hail downpour & showers for an hour.
Nocked starlink out for a bit.
Now my PC is messed up.
But I can get on here.
And the drive up to neighbors to order meds on his pc was a little muddy.
Well worth it to watch baby elk for a while.
Your living the life out there for sure. Sounds like a Good time to me.

Last year was a La Nina event. Third year in a row.
I had 8.80 inches by this time last year.
A fluke heavy monsoon year. I totaled 18.22 for the year. 6 inches over average.
I have 4.88 inches so far this year. 2.22 in May rains, rare.
El Nino in place.
Got spit on last night. Missed us.
Today is 60-70% chance.
Cloud cover early today.
Better get to the store and back before the road gets too wet.
The elk are coming to our store .

Nada drop. But all around me.
Could be the last 90+ day for a while...still 40-70% chance.
Activity monsoon wise over the Gila and White Mtns.
My tanks are down, but still full.
Rio is covered in mud.
There are half dozen Teal on the big tank.

Looks like the High that has plagued us all June/July is moving east and the monsoon flow is right there.
Sorry for you eastern high humidity folks.

Y’all are lucky. 100 plus with no rain in sight for East Texas. P
Rio and I are feeling the cool breeze blowing thru the house.
98 at 3pm and then huge drops for half an hour.
Showers rumbling thru now.
74 and it smells so good.
Yall are lucky. 100+ for our entire forecast in East Texas. No fun with the humidity.

I was not going to mention that the High will be over TX,OK now. For another week.
Just the center moving has helped.
A coast to coast high...I have never seen it.
Normal Monsoon flow now.
They said ...

Today was 98 with 87 % humidity. Out at the farm this evening little shooting before the big shoot tomorrow. Thunder storms are rolling in and very welcomed.

Thanks for the Aaron Copeland reminder.
Playing it for the critters at sunrise is good for the soul.
Clear skies now before the sky music starts. 63.

80's and 60-80% chances for the week.
Monsoon flow is on for AZ & NM.
Shovel & prybar in the truck for expected mud.
Parka & water. Rio cookies.

Longest dry spell in history in Alb. should end today.
On your way OK & TX.

Looking at radar it looks like spots on a Dalmatian. Downpour one place and nothing a mile away. Add to that, here one minute, gone the next. Crazy. Hope the flow picks up. Moving these highs seems harder and harder these days.

I sang "Stuck in the middle with you" to Rio when he came out to eat some lemon merangee pie, then go back to his bed.
Big T-heads all around and rains. Thunder rumbling.
Dry still here. But only 87 today.
Local weather shows green and the gal says monsoonal flow...coming Tues.
I think she's an adderol addict that never gets out.

It's here. Just the nature of the beast.
I could be in a frog strangler any time...........LOL
Or I could get no more rain til fall.

103 for a high in East Texas yesterday. Still no rain in sight and 100 + for at least the next few weeks. Wish we could at least get some cloud cover. This heat is hard on people, animals and our trees. I’ve had 2 matures oaks die within the past 4 weeks. Also saw on the news that the heat is killing the Saguaro cactus in Arizona.
