Headed up to the breaks on Friday, did anyone hear any bugles this weekend??

The only report I have heard is that a local elk bow hunter fell out of a tree ( stand may have broken) on the Missouri River, and was flown by helicopter to Great Falls! Be safe tree stand hunters or be like me and join the Afraid of Heights Club, and use a ground blind!

heavy rain at sundown last nite. clear and sunny here today. roads should dry by noon. this is Petroleum co. Elk finally bugling well this morning. They woke us up at 4 am and have been going pretty hard ever since. Bet this coming weekend is way better than the opener around here.

I was just up there for 5 days. Elk started bugling on Sunday and Monday morning when the weather changed. Should be better this weekend. Wish I could be up there again. Had a good bull @ 67 yards that just would not expose his vitals from behind a tree. I can't get him out of my mind
