Spike camp was about 3 miles in from truck. 3 comms on 9/11 heading back to the vehicles. Hoping for the best here.

They were in CO, near the border with NM.Is this for real? I've seen this stuff posted saying they were in NM and also MT. Not saying it's not, just curious if anyone knew for certain.
Now I’m really confused, this says they did not have the inreach, so what is all this talk about gps pings? Pings from what?Their latest FB update
Update at End of Day 9/16:
Nothing has been found -- and NOT for lack of effort. The Conejo County Sherriff Dept, NM SAR, La Plata SAR, Volunteers and so many other people have been INCREDIBLE and working hard. THANK YOU ALL SO SO DEEPLY.
With that said, I DO NOT WANT THIS TO DWINDLE. WE NEED MORE. If you or anyone you know can show up, get resources (we're trying to answer everyone's calls but if you see a resource that is possible please take it into your hands to call them and if approval for something is needed please reach out to me or the Sherriff Dept directly and we will get working on that), dog teams, horses, four wheelers, drones (with Sherriff Permission at checkin on base), anything that can help.
These two are very savvy and resourceful, I pray every minute they are trying their best to survive. They did everything right - they just got caught in the wrong sudden circumstances with a plan in mind that involved a quick hunt not all their gear.
WE ARE BEYOND GRATEFUL to everyone. PLEASE do not let this dwindle, we need to find them. I don't know what I would do without Andrew in my life - we are supposed to get married in just a few months. Ian is one of our closest friends who is one of the bravest people we all know.
Thank you and please show up, keep looking, if I cannot respond try to see what can be done on your end. There is no state too far, no resource too grand.
Ps- no they do not have the inreach from the photo - yes we have drones, dogs, helicopters, horses and we have sirens going off. we appreciate any and all help
I'm wondering if the pings were from the InReach, but they left the InReach in the car with their packs...again, more details would be helpful. Now I’m really confused, this says they did not have the inreach, so what is all this talk about gps pings? Pings from what?
Agreed but if it was foul play why would the perp not take their stuff? So if I’m following, they left for a couple days, then made it back to the vehicle where their last comms/pin were made on 9/11. Would make sense then that their stuff is in the vehicle, since they seem to have made it back there, correct? But seems more likely that there may have been some kind of foul play back at the rig.
Something about this doesn’t feel like just “lost hunters”.
Agreed. I feel like if it was foul play, either their bows would still be at the rig, or everything of value would be taken. Bows being gone feels like they went out for an evening hunt.Agreed but if it was foul play why would the perp not take their stuff?
Agreed. Heard a bugle from the truck, grabbed their bows and made a move to be lite and fast. Been there.Agreed. I feel like if it was foul play, either their bows would still be at the rig, or everything of value would be taken. Bows being gone feels like they went out for an evening hunt.
As we saw in Montana last year with that Hunter brutally murdered there are other motives besides robbery.Agreed. I feel like if it was foul play, either their bows would still be at the rig, or everything of value would be taken. Bows being gone feels like they went out for an evening hunt.
Because people are crazyAgreed but if it was foul play why would the perp not take their stuff?
I agree, but i have hunted that area. Something really bad would have to happen to get lost to the point of not getting out. It's a big valley drainage that goes to a big lake with lots of fisherman. Most people in the right state of mind would know to just keep walking downhill to the creek and follow it to the lake, even 5 miles in. Rugged country but unlikely you have a reason to hike out and over to get out of that drainage. My biggest fear is lightning over anything else. If it was one person i can see losing cool and doing stupid things out if disoriented state but it was a pair. Hoping for the bestAgreed.
