I'm really interested to try IMR 4166 in a .308. Hodgdon lists 45.1Gr Max load for a .308 win with a 180gr slug to clock 2663. If that's accurate, that sounds like a winner!!

I've seen them on the shelves and if I didn't have powder at home I'd probably buy these to try out. The very bright colors make them easy to spot. I wonder if the one for the smaller cases is the same or similar to CFE223.

Looks like IMR might have some load workup's on their website.

I have no idea if IMR has any on their website, but http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/ does. They have .308 loads for 4166 with many traditional slugs.

The IMR site redirects you to the Hodgdon Reloading site, but yeah lots of good data out there.

Hodgdon, IMR and Winchester powders are all one company with joint production...
