Michigan late doe season

from 12/21 to 1/1/2016 We have a late doe season where I live .If I do not take a buck with my muzzleloader ,I will be meat hunting late season.Never used to believe in shooting does years ago but in the last 10 years or so some of the farms around me is over run with deer..Still hard to get permission to hunt on most of them .

My savage 22-250 with 60 grain partitions is my late doe killer.Putting a new Nikon scope on it this week. Sighting it in this week end.

Extends the season and puts meat in the freezer.

We have one in Indiana from 12/26-1/6 for the second year this year. I'm hoping to give my 8yo a chance to shoot another. I'd like one just for making summer sausage. I will say though, that in our area the sightings go WAY down after gun season.
