Matt Rinella knocking it outta the park

This sounds like a nightmare scenario for me having people show up at my camp and want to hang out.
Depends on the situation. If were in the back country camping off our backs I rather not see another soul. If were camping near a trailhead type situation and hiking into a spot each day we enjoy shooting the shit with other hunters or recreationists in general. Met some really great people.

I don’t even like seeing people in the grocery store

In reading this I can’t help but think you’re referring to me. In the last 5 years I’ve done 3 hunts and shared here on hunttalk. All were long awaited limited entry type things (86 years combined applications UT and AZ elk and MT sheep) - posted here about when I drew and added along the way until I notched tags - all later in the hunts. If so, I’m smiling at the assumptions & wish you the best of luck when your number comes up on a big permit.
IDK man, I can think of at least half a dozen other people he could be referring to that fit his description better. I know one in particular that drives me crazy as his posts literally drip with wanna-be-influencer-juice. They're gross, and I've stopped reading them.

Everyone loves a GH thread.

I have yet to meet a "really great" other hunter randomly in the woods. Mostly just B'bags, blowhards, idiots, and poachers.

I met a super nice old dude packing some mules out of the Madison range once when I stopped to help him with a tack malfunction. Gave me his number to call if I killed a bull and needed a hand, as I was hunting on foot and he would be around for the next couple days. There’s a few good ones out there…

“I got me a Razor and a CO elk tag. What’s your excuse? Let’s goooo!”

Anyone remember that guy? 😂

We've met all types also. A guy camped near us when we drew a hells canyon archery tag one year stands out as everything on your list except the poacher part.

nobody is going to convince me that this is largely not from influencers and social media. There’s not an additional 3500 people coming to the conclusion on their own that chasing some dumb ass bird around the forest is a good use of their time.
Ultimately though, isnt on the state and the citizens of that state to deal with the growth in demand?

Good thing someone tried to deal with it a while ago.

Montanans should remember who thought 50 dollars was too much of an increase, and then who got it amended.

Forky do you ever take a nap? I like your persistence, I hope you get to hunt a lot like me.
