Saw lots of big forkies this year, trying to let them become something more. Saw a really big rear crab claw 3 point. Wider than his ears and pretty tall. Great genetics. He looked like the son Bocephus, the huge buck my brother was trying to bag. Hoping they both make it to next season.

Had a hard time talking my dad into one that looked just like this one Wednesday. He said he’d shoot him so I could have the meat, but I didn’t want him to shoot it if he didn’t actually want it. He said he didn’t really want such an ugly deer. My crazy dad only likes beautiful symmetric typical. I think he’s crazy.

Should be an interesting buck next year. Probably not as close to a giant forky though.
