Making sense of WY numbers

Trying to decide where to apply in WY and seeing numbers that don't make sense.

Hunt planner show draw odds from last year, but only seems to show first choice odds. 2nd and 3rd are 0. The numbers say there should be some in 2nd choice.

Example is 35 elk, type 4 tags. Numbers show 225 tags, 179 applicants, so 100% draw. But shows 2nd choice as 0 available when I think it should be 46 available

What am I missing?

I just looked it up under draw odds not the hunt planner. That shows there were second and third choice applicants.

Hunt planner numbers have flaws to say least. Use it for quick research then verify with the spreadsheet!

don't use the hunt planner for odds, download the draw odds from the draw odds page

look at the pp odds for 1st choice
look at random odds for the remaining 1st choice guys who dropped to the 25% random draw and for 2nd choice odds

quota minus 1st choice apps = tags remaining for 2nd choice apps
