Since its pouring rain and I ain't gonna go try to fix the camper in the rain, I figured I would post up pics of my hike I took to Piper Lake in the Mission Wilderness. I cleared the GPS at the truck when I left, it read 13.9 miles when I got back. Holy crap!! I don't care who you are(except for Greenie), that is a long walk, I was frickin tired. 95 degrees didn't help either.

Packers trail, had lots of lion, bobcat, and wolf tracks. I saw old bear tracks, and 3 cows along the way.

Not much to see in the timber along the way.

The lake is pretty cool though.

Hoped to see some big mulies on the open slopes above the timberline that this range is known for, but nada.

Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like an awesome place for a hike.

Hotter'n blazes here. Heading out to do my hiking at Cabelas.:D

I don't know what you're doing for work, but I'm jealous. Kind of feels and looks like the huckleberries should be close.

I've been working in SE MT the last month or so, and I really don't know how they handle the summers over there. We got more rain in Missoula today that I think they've had since May over there.
