We had a great couple weekends hunting for my son’s permit draw. Amazing country, cool hikes & glassing experiences, & quite a few deers. My boy passed on a couple a little smaller & ended up shooting this beaut today! Yah, it’s not a record, but it’s a solid, heavy, nice buck. We got to watch it cruise in out of nowhere & chase a bunch of does around, sniffing tail before giving my boy a nice 200 yd shot. He definitely seemed to be in the rutting spirit, maybe a bit ahead of schedule. Another one of those hunting experiences to cherish & my boy is feeling good! Thanks to the couple sportsman that gave us a little confidence boosting feedback when we drew the tag! * He’s a kid so I drew some sunglasses on his eyes for his privacy

Thats a perfect rifle. My daughter is 15 and she can shoot the Remington Model 788 .223 pretty well. Plan to use 62 grain Fed Fusions. Last year year she used a Model 7 .260 Remington
