Looking for a light weight.22 revolver

I really like my Ruger Wrangler, probably 80% as good as a Single Six for 1/3 of the money. Perfect little lightweight 22 that you don't feel too bad about beating up in the field. I'd also consider a Henry Garden Gun and a nice sling, not a handgun but arguably more effective, easier to make good shots with, and not much more money.

Ruger Wrangler has an aluminum frame, a few oz lighter than the equivalent sized Single Six. I think my M&P 22 compact is about 1/2 what the Wrangler weighs, but you asked for revolver.

Yeah, snake shot won't feed through a semi automatic. She has a Lady Beretta but same issue is it won't feed a second shot if needed
She's outside doing something around the ranch all day, most every day. There's a rifle on everything with wheels around here but they aren't always handy.

Ruger Wrangler or Single Six with the shorter barrel. Some of the old Hi Standards and the like are pretty light too. Ruger LCRx would be on the light list too.

The Heritage Rough Rider absolutely loses me with their weird thumb safety. The whole gun feels loose and cheap to me.

Sounds like she has a 43X, that's one of my carry guns, I do carry it while fishing I just plan to single load it which is fine for snakes..I also carry a Walther P22 (I get it not a revolver), I've been carrying it for snakes and grouse with bird shot for 23 years or so. It's a plain join to use.

If I recall right S&W makes a delightful little Air Lite in 22 LR or 22 Mag, spending little buggers but worth it.

Personally I'd just use the 43X and deal with it...can't recall ever needing more than one poke on a snake anyway.

I see you’re in CA so maybe not an option, but what about a derringer instead of a revolver? Only 2 shots but they’re light and fit in a pocket.

The better half would love that Colt. 4.5 inch barrel. Perfect. mtmuley

Here's what she's using. It's an 8 shot Arminius HW5 . It shaves bullets but is perfect for snake shot. It weighs just over 27 oz. The Ruger, Heritage and Wrangler we have all are heavier. When your wife asks for a different pistol, what am I going to say? No? I thought about buying her a nice stainless Colt Python .357 but I don't think she would like it.

My wife likes the I frame Colt we have. It's chambered in .357. If I could afford that Colt .22 I would do it. mtmuley
