Lizard Head Wilderness

Hi Kids,

Any of you girls hunted the Lizard Head Wilderness in CO before? Looking at the area for an archery hunt this fall. Just curious what to expect. Is there a lot of hunters, tuff hunting, good bulls, blah, blah, blah?

That is a pretty amazing piece of earth! You'd be hard pressed to pick a more awe-inspiring landscape. I lived down there before I started hunting, but some of the guys I worked with would backpack in to bow hunt. It can be pretty rugged and a lot of it is really high elevation. Those guys were big time fitness freaks. Never came out with anything, but they were young and I have a feeling they hunted harder, not smarter. Probably not much help, but if you end up down there take lots of pics!
