Live video feed tomorrow?

Mr Gerrard from region 4 did a good job framing the fact wolves kill for the chase. And I like how he said that the bears and cats get the blame because they are caught eating the kill. Would have liked to hear more from the region 3...

The bulk of the ear tagged elk calves killed in the the study going on in the Root were killed by lions.

I was shocked that only 18000 wolf tags were sold.

At those numbers, is trapping even going to make a difference? Just thinking out loud.

Trappers will be more successful then general hunters. They should fill more tags.

Anyone find a valid acceptable link to some numbers for the value of ecotourism due to wolves, post it up. That seems to be a big one for the other side.
The one lady quoted 67 million.

Can we post signs at trailheads notifying public land users that they are entering a "wolf management area" they will need to be cautious and alert of traps. I agreed with the guy that mentioned pet owners should self educate on how to release there pet if the get caught up. Watch some idiot try to release a woof. You know they will
Interesting debate. Glad I tuned in

The more I think about Anja, the Footloose MT wench, I get ticked. Why she has to go for all public land just perturbs me. She obviously doesn't know the value of what we have here in this country and our abundant public land. What it means to have public land. She should take her values and her ass back to Europe.

It would be really easy to take some areas that are heavily used by x-country skiers and snowshoers and not allow trapping in those areas, but to lump all public land in is awful.

As they sat in a FWP building, talking to FWP commission, and FWP employees paid for and by sportsmen dollars NOT tourest dollars.

Just got back home. I'd say we were successful. We took the wolf issue as far as possible (for now), took away SFW's thunder, and had great representation at the meeting. Now, the next level will be for those of you to attend meetings in your areas, and talk wolf management.

Yep, that is what I was getting at.

What? So nobody strangled Anja out in the parking lot?

Is this the number they come up with from people answering "Yes" that they are going through yellowstone to see wolves? Such a BS question. Like that is the only reason they are going through the park!

I think the lady is right if she is saying the eco terrorism costs 67 million but if she is talking about ecotourism then who knows where that number was made up from. It seems like you can could count what ever way you want to until you get to 67 million.

When I heard her mention 68 MILLION I almost put my hip waders on. I cant see tourism being affected by trapping/wolf management. No doubt that it will be affected if wolves become over populated in recreation areas. That whole buffalo spill she mentioned in the 60's is irrelevant. Comparing wolves have 5-6 pups a year per bitch & buffalo. And have 1 - 2. Apples & oranges. Thank you shoots straight ' big fin and the rest for taking the time to debate this. I don't live in Montana but I believe in " give an inch they'll take a mile"

Most of them just couldn't get past the fact that we don't want to remove the whole species. Just couldn't, you could hear it in their comments. Cripes, the one lady said the world is going to end, literally!
