My Home town is playing in the First round Right now on Espn. Petaluma CA.

We are really proud of these kids. The Movie theater in town is showing the game.

World series

My town's team is playing Friday @ 5 PM Pacific on ESPN!
Go Gresham Nationals!

For me, the Little League World Series is the most fun baseball to watch! I'm hoping to take each of my boys to Williamsport sometime between the ages of 7-10. Good times and it's amazing how good the fundamentals some of these kids have. That said, it's a blast to watch because a pop up or ground ball is not a guaranteed out either.

Good luck to the teams that make it!

Big bull, Apparently the kids know one another...

The Petaluma National Little League’s heart-pounding, 6-4 win over Fairfield American Little League in the first round of Little League World Series play in Williamsport, PA not only made history, it gave the Petalumans a couple of days to relax and enjoy the impressive International Little League World Series headquarters. Petaluma’s next game isn’t until Sunday at 11 a.m (PST).

How they will spend their free time was a matter of opinion.

“We’re just going to try to enjoy ourselves, visit the Little League Museum and look around,” said manager Eric Smith.

“We’re going to root for the Oregon team,” said first baseman Danny Marzo, who will pitch Petaluma’s Sunday game. “They were in our barracks in San Bernardino, and we have become very good friends.”

The Gresham, Ore. Players won the Northwest Regional championship at San Bernardino, while Petaluma National was winning the West title.

Several of the players showed up at Petaluma’s game Thursday wearing T-shirts decorated with “Petaluma” and National players’ names. They led the enthusiastic National League rooting section in spirit cheers.

Catcher Austin Paretti had his own idea of how to spend the free time.

“Swimming,” he said succinctly.

Although the weather has been warm and muggy, the National players appeared to be remarkably cool and collected for the first Little League World Series game ever played by a Petaluma team.

Before the game started, several of the players joined “Dugout,” the official Little League team mascot in an impromptu dance before their delighted fans.

Those fans, who included the majority of the team parents, ranged from those who had been in Williamsport (or nearby) since Tuesday to those who left San Francisco on a red-eye flight Wednesday night and made the four-hour drive to the small Pennsylvania town.

All shared a common astonishment at the Little League complex.

“There is absolutely no place in the world I would rather be than right here,” summed up Mary Marzo.

While watching Indiana getting thumped by Texas last night I had to really chuckle at some of the things being said by the IN coach. To one player, who was complaining about a call, "he said you can't say that here"! To a pitcher having a rough time he told him to "Clean it up, this is on national TV. Better hope they were on a commercial break."

Gotta love the spirit these kids bring to the game.
