Anyone have brand recommendations for lithium battery for a 24v trolling motor? You can spend $125 to $1000 per battery, which is a price range I have not com across something before.

I have a Dakota Lithium for my kayak fish finder which is nice and has a good warranty, but from what I have read since then it sounds like some of the cheaper brands are just as good. You need to get a specific lithium ion charger cause they charge at a higher voltage. If weight is not a concern and you don’t plan on draining the battery all the way, lead acid is still probably just as good of an option.

I use a power queen for my house battery (fish finder, live well pump, all lights, etc) and have no complaints

Ionic Lithium Blue. I use 2 50aH to run my 70lb Minn Kota Power Drive iPilot. I get 6hrs trolling for salmon and lakers at ~1.5mph both into and with the wind with usually about 25% battery remaining. If I was shore fishing for bass I would get all day. If I was trying to hold over structure in current or had much longer days planned then I would probably opt for 100aH batteries

I'd look into SOK, they are Chinese but have pretty good quality and the BMS seems to work well. They are priced competitively. Remember that a lithium battery of the same AH as a lead acid will give you approximately 2x the usable power as You can fully discharge lithium without hurting them. So a normal deep cycle has probably 100 AH, you have 50 usable AH at 12v, so if you get a 100AH Lithium it will double the capacity.

Edit to add: I have a couple SOK Batteries and they have been good so far. I have multiple friends that have gotten them as well. As with anything there are tradeoffs, any support will be via email with a guy actually in China, surprisingly it works really well.

I have 4 LiTimes; was using 1 12v 100ah for electronics and 2 12v 100ah for the 24v 80# Terrova. Brain fade set in and I cooked my trailer batteries so I moved the 2 12's from the boat to the trailer and bought a single 24v 100ah for the trerrova. That 24v was now less cost than the 2 12's it replaced. Zero issues with the batteries and 30% the price of the name brands that have been around for a while.

I’m running Dakota’s in series go my trolling motor. The only complaint I have is the charger they sold me was junk. It worked once and never again. I was able to find a suitable replacement from the marina.

As far as cost, Black Friday is the time to switch.

LiTime Bluetooth have two and love them..... Just to give you more information I troll for stripes quite a bit. I can run my 70lb motorguide XI 3 for 6-8 hours at .8-1.0 mph and may lose 5-10% charge at a constant troll. I have the 24v 50amp.
