Late season Grouse

With the end of big game season and a lack of snowfall, I’m eager to do a few more Blue grouse trips before the end of the season. Found a few FS roads that access high alpine ridges that are still accessible with an ATV. Plan on brining my snowshoes as well.

Anyone else planning on doing some late season hunts?

Grouse opens back up December 1st. Looks like a bit of a warm up on the way.

The dogs have already let me know that deer hunting is BS & they expect to be taken afield.

I expect I'll comply.

I might try some late seaosn ruffies. Hoping to make a trip to southern Sask to chase pheasants for a couple days as well

Grouse opens back up December 1st.

This is one of the top reasons in the "con" column on my list of leave Michigan or not after retirement (no dove hunting either).
Looking forward to getting more grouse hunting time in December.

Season closed Nov 26 here in CO. I got skunked my last two outings into the wilderness here in NW CO in early Nov so I shut it down. Gonna be a long wait till next sept 1.
