Late season archery elk

I am planning my first late season archery elk hunt in the first week of October in Montana this year. I thought I would ask if any of you have any tips or advice. I usually elk hunt mid September when the bulls are hot so this will be a different experience for me. Going backcountry for two weeks in the heart of grizzly county. I imagine elk behavior will be different from my previous experience. Anything you got should help.
