Had a blast in CO this year. Ended up with my first bull my last morning of the hunt. Heard him bugling while we were walking in. Set up in the edge of a small meadow with aspens up above. Made a few cow calls and my buddy bugled a few times back behind me 70 yards. He came screaming of the hill. I stopped him at 35 and put a arrow in his chest right at crease of sholder. Didn't get very good penetration and he ran back up to the tree line and stopped at 60. I rushed and tried to get another one in him and got very lucky. All i had was back half and hit him in the ham. Blood instantly poured out and sprayed the aspen in the picture. Had a massive blood trail for 150 yards and there he was. Im not thrilled with my shots but it all worked out in the end. Heading back to VA now with a freezer full of meat!
