Lake Vermilion MN fishing

I’m planning a quick fishing trip to Lake Vermilion out of Cook MN and was wondering if anyone had any recently fishing experiences up there? I’m renting a fishing boat for one day and fishing off the shore the remaining times. Thanks for any direction. Preston
