Knives

I looked for a comparison and it came back as the 105. I don't need any more knives so it's not a big deal to get it fixed. But, it's not like I'm doing anything else!
Give it a shot. Worst case you’ll get a new knife.

Nothing boring about thst
It’s not fancy but I have yet to find a blade that holds its edge better. I have twice quartered two elk same day and still kept its edge. They make a great folder version just as good. Have it for a day pack with a couple elk on it. Then send them to benchmade and they resharpen for life for free. ( for those who don’t know how to sharpen a knife, which is a dying old fashioned necessity)

I had the buck 110 for a long time. First day of deer season I walked in a field lane with another guy to a stand. I was tagless. When he shot a deer I offered to process it and he could keep hunting. Knife was not where it should have been. I borrowed his. then searched hi and low. 2 weeks later I was back with someone else walking that same lane. Frozen in mud was that knife. I went and got a flat head screwdriver and tried to pop it out of the mud. The blade popped right out. The handle stayed. Since then I tried a bunch of different ones including a utility knife from work for a few years when money was tight. I settled on the Outdoor Edge 4" fixed. I like the way is handles and it seams to be the perfect size for me

I've used this Schrade Golden Spike for over 30 years and I still like it a lot. TR

The top is a Ruana Steelhead model and the bottom is a Ruana 5AD model. These knives hold a lot of sentimental value for me besides being great knives which they are. I carry the Steelhead model as an EDC knife also in addition to my Benchmade mini-Barrage. Both Ruana knives are fantastic and I always have one of them with me during hunting season. The Steelhead was my first Ruana knife and I've had it a long time. The 5AD knife was gifted to me when I retired 9 years ago. What a great gift that my co-workers went in together to buy for me. It has nice wood scales and hand filed gimping on top of the blade. It is engraved also. Both are very special.

When my youngest son Jeremiah was a year old I bought him a Ruana Steelhead for his first birthday. Nothing like being prepaired right! When Jeremiah died when he was 19 months old I gave it to my other son Jeffrey. Jeff (10 years old) had already been given a Ruana Steelhead even though he wasn't old enough to hunt yet, but once again just being prepared right! So now Jeff has his own Steelhead knife which was engraved with his name, but he has another Steelhead which is engraved with his little brothers name too. I'm hoping that he will pass Jeremiah's knife onto one of his children when they get old enough to hunt. He does not have children yet but just being prepaired!

I noticed that when he went hunting this year that he carried his little brothers Steelhead with him. Very special.
