Well, I got it done the other night on a bear I have been chasing for 3 years. He was the alpha in my area and it took some time for him to slip up but luckly I was there when he did! He's in the range of 350-375lbs and he squared right on 6'6" If he measures better than 19 5/16, he'll be a personal best for me. Here's a 3 photo before and after slide.

What a melon on that one, very nice!! Way to be patient and finally get him.

What did you shoot him with? That looks an awful lot like a Remington Copper Solid shotgun slug.

Actually that's a .50cal Barnes Expander bullet. I took him with a single shot from a Knight Bighorn muzzleloader.
 
He is huge and looking pretty old, I heard that bear is growing until he is 5-7 years old and then he is getting smaller every year. We killed 22 years old bear couple years ago and his body was not big.Do you have full body after kill picture?
