kennetrek boot question

like many have already said, I wear uninsulated. I haven't put on my Meindel 400gram insulated boots until it gets below the teens, and even then only when not walking much. Like Big Fin said, many people with cold feet are cold because of too much insulation combined with sweating while walking and then cooling off when stopped. And buy merino socks.

What Gerald said. My feet always are cold stand hunting in MN. However, I have NEVER had cold feet spot and stalk hunting out West using my uninsulated mountain extremes. It has gotten me to think that all these years I had TOO MUCH insulation and my feet were sweating getting to the stand, and getting cold as a result.
