Hey guys,

I am looking at 2 different keen boots for winter time. One has their non slip sole and the other ( polar) has little bits to grab the ground. They would be used for walking on an ice covered road.
I currently use strap on (yaktrak) traction but they hurt my feet after a mile or 2.
Any feedback is welcome.
Thanks

Both Hoffman's in Kellogg and White's in Spokane will calk any shoe or boot you want. While calks are awesome on ice, snow sticks to the spikes and they start to roll under your ankle.

I sometimes run golf spikes in mine for roads.

I would avoid keen boots. The quality has gone to hell since they moved manufacturing. The soles on my last pair started delaminating as soon as I put them on.
