Seems all the rage from a couple “big time” YouTube shed-hunting gang is finding sheep dead heads this year.

I’m going to guess we’ll see a bit of an uptick in poaching with a mentality like this. “The goal is to find *insert animal* deadhead this year.”

As tags get harder to draw and almost impossible for some of these animals, this could certainly be a bad trend popping up. Certainly not saying these were poached, but it’s not that far out of the realm of possibility for some of these clowns to stoop to that level.

I will admit that I used to watch those guys on YouTube…not anymore. We need to quit feeding such a toxic system. Those guys are predominantly consumers that give back to the landscape very little. Glorifying the chasing of animals antlers while marching around on winter grounds when the critters are at the weakest is not something I want to contribute my “like and subscribe” to.

Do you have a link to the youtube?
I think some states have rules about picking up deadheads to prevent it but I think you could be right unfortunately.

That was exactly my comment in the email I sent to Mike Lang when he introduced the bill legalizing it in Montana.
wonder if he would let us go take a hike with the current conditions.... bet the answer would be no.

They’re not just “picking up horns”… they’re grinding OK?! Totally shedicated! Brownies, chalkers, hard whites…doesn’t even matter. It’s all epic.
Actually, I was wrong. I do decorate the garden's deer fence with old antlers when I find them. I want to cover that fence with enough antlers that they'll block sunlight from reaching my plants.

Is there a supplement blend or something targeted toward helping me grind harder while searching for chalky old antlers? Preferably one with some extreme looking colors and logos and stuff on the label and some cool endorsements from youtube dudes? I'm ready to get at it.

More seriously (I'm not going to try to find or watch that video), but are they just scraping through a zone where pneumonia has gone through a sheep herd recently? I guess if I was trying to be completely consumptive and create content at any cost that's the way my brain would think.

I have no clue. I didn’t watch any videos, just mindless scrolling and came across this nonsense.

I am sure there are 100% legitimate ways to go about this, but the pessimist in me doesn’t think most guys would be on the up and up after a bit.
